Here we are at another turn in the wheel of the year, this time turning from darkness towards light. Certainly, there is a lot of darkness in the world right now, but even at this dark point, you can see the signs of the light ahead.
What do you need to let go of as the wheel ends its old cycle and begins a new one?
What have you been doing or being that wants to change?
Maybe you’re tired of being indulgent or overworked, tired of living to please others, or tired of playing small.
Like a snake shedding its skin, find a way to ritually throw off your old ways. Write them down on a piece of paper and burn it, dance it out of your body, yell and scream if you need to, then dance IN to your body the way you want to show up in the next year.
Dreams are born in the darkness when we are asleep. They help us awaken to a new reality, a new world. What are your dreams and visions?
Albert Einstein said worry was a waste of imagination. So use your imagination to dream your life the way you want it to be, and begin creating that.
Setting those seeds into the deep dark earth at this time of year will ensure that they sprout in the springtime, or when the time is right.
